Please join us for maintenance of the Atalaya Trail, which SFCT adopted on behalf of the Santa Fe National Forest several years ago. This work day was inspired by a tree that has fallen on the trail that will be the main objective, but I will bring more traditional trail tools for more traditional trail work as well.
We will meet at Wilderness Gate trailhead, but I will try to get through the gate to bring everything to the top of Camino Cruz Blanca and head up the trail from there.
Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water.
Let me know if you can make it – – – contact Tim Rogers at email@example.com or (505) 989-7019.
Bilingual Flyer: Take a Kid Hiking Day
Bring your child to Dale Ball Trails for some good healthy outdoors fun on “Take a Kid Hiking Day”!
Our Trails Program Manager Tim Rogers will be on site from 9:30-11:30 with water, snacks, and maps, as well as “Dale Ball Trails” stickers for 4th and 5th Graders who are working on their “Passport to Trails.”
Participants will be welcome to take a self-guided hike or to join other local trail lovers for a guided tour.
This is a chance for some of the Fifth Graders in our “Passport to Trails” program who missed a hike last year to complete their Passport and win a prize. But all kids are welcome to join in and hit the trails as well.
Hope to see you on June 17!
